Remember how you used to be so excited as a child when it was your birthday the next morning?
And it always felt like the best day ever. Gifts wrapped in shimmer, friends running around the house in joy. Cake and Decorations, beautiful dresses, and how can we forget that all-eyes-on-me wala attention? Those days when we were a one-day-celebrity was truly adorable for us.
And So, very recently, Pehchaan The Street School too decided to get some little celebrities from their centers a special treat for their birthdays falling in the Months of September and October. Binge Town, a private theatre in Delhi, gracefully accepted the challenge of throwing a birthday bash for the students with a movie, snacks, and a dance floor. Binge Town promised an unforgettable experience for each of them.
You should be all ears to know what happened next!! After a Warm welcome at the Binge Town, and after a brief admiration of the purple-themed decoration, the cake (which was also incredibly beautiful) was cut while everyone sang the birthday carol. Everyone went in for the movie. The movie to be screened was a coming-of-age sports drama film ‘Iqbaal’, it was about a deaf and mute boy obsessed with cricket and dreamed of playing for the Indian National Cricket team. The movie was a mix of inspiring raw content with some humor attached to it.
At first, all the children were skeptical that it was a boring movie as no one ever heard about it before. They even said “Didi Stree Dekhte hai” in their excitedness (laughs) But it did not take very long to bring cheers and smiles to their faces! All the children devoured the movie starring talented actors like Nasiruddin Shah and Shreyas Talpade. During the Screening, cokes, pizzas, popcorn, and french fries, were supplied. The Flow of the snacks felt for a moment like it would never stop!
After savoring the mouth-watering snacks and enjoying the movie, everyone had to roll their bellies on the dance floor. I bet you can never match their energy on those beats! From “chunri chunri” to “Galla goodiyan”, their steps hardly touched the ground.
The most adorable part of the day was the children themselves. It was how they decided to make the most of every moment and not hesitate a bit to spread joy with their smiles. It was all possible without anyone but Chetan Agrawal and Soumay Bansal, without whom the collaboration wouldn’t be possible. Also Shobha, Shivani and Asmit, who accompanied the children, made sure everything worked smoothly. And Finally, Chetan Agrawal, the owner of Binge Town, who exclusively booked the theatre for the Students, deserves a big thanks and lots of love from Pehchaan The Street School.
