WHO WE ARE

Pehchaan, a word that means ‘Identity’- To provide identity to underprivileged children by educating them, irrespective of their pockets, is our motive. For over 8 years now, while we have emphasized the value of education as a fundamental right, that ought to be accessible to every child out there with a desire to learn, we have always tried to go beyond that. The institutionalization and commodification of education across our country has severely restricted the ability for the underprivileged to access means of vocational as well as academic studies, and that’s the barrier that we aim to break with our street school.

Volunteership

Volunteering is for everyone who can work on ground or online & can contribute time as per their availability. Volunteering doesn’t come with any commitment. There are no certificates for volunteering.

Internship

Internship is for everyone who can commit a minimum duration of time to work on ground or online. All interns get a certificate after completing their committed duration of work. You can choose from multiple positions available for internship.

Member

Membership is for eveyone who can’t commit time or can’t work either online or offline. In either case, an individual can commit a certain amount of donation every month & become a member of the trust. A Member can also sponsor education of an underprivileged child.

Pehchaan Street School is a non-profit organization in Delhi that provides education to underprivileged children who don’t have access to formal schooling.

There is a difference between volunteering and interning at Pehchaan Street School, with internships being more structured and long-term commitments.
Volunteers, interns, and members all play important roles in achieving the organization’s mission, with volunteers working closely with children and interns working on specific projects.
Pehchaan Street School offers a variety of opportunities, both online and on the ground, for those interested in contributing their skills and passions.

For teaching internship, our current operational centres are at
Indraprasth metro station, GTB Nagar & Mukherjee Nagar, Noida sector 35, Sunder Nursery, Rohini , Dilshad Garden

Saturday & Sunday;
🕒3pm to 5pm – Indraprasth Metro Station, Sunder Nursery, Dilshad Garden, Rohini

🕑2pm to 4pm – GTB, Mukherjee nagar & Noida
