Freedom To Dream: A Creator’s Day Out
Wait, who are creators here?
We usually think of creators as people whose work involves video making, shooting, and living almost entirely digital lives.
But one place changed the whole perspective on the world and sparked an interest in capturing what really meant something to them.
Pehchan The Street School – An educational NGO whose sole point is to educate underprivileged students with a unique understanding of concepts and encourage them in different domains in which they are really interested,
As part of that, it organised an event, “Freedom To Dream A Creators Day Out,” at the Noida Centre on August 9th, Sunday, 2026.
Let me give you those insights –
One event – 11 Creators, 400+ students, and 100+ Volunteers captured the dreams, creating things on their own and even supported by volunteers too.
Creativity, dreams show up with community:
The event was about Independence Day celebrations with Pehchaan The Street School students. They creatively chose education, along with creators who were bridges for this event.
Students of Pehchaan The Street School were mentored by volunteers whom they call;
Didi and bhaiya are like a family.
Students really enjoyed the event and made themselves understand the meaning – learning beyond classrooms while playing their favourite roles:
From going to school to submit yesterday’s homework to participating in decorating the school made them thoroughly enjoy it because those were beyond books, blackboards, and chalk pieces, which gives a sole feeling to students.
They explored something different that day, which brought them a unique way of presenting things and made them understand the difference between thinking and implementing – Decorator, Craft maker.
They realize their dreams are not limited to becoming a Doctor, Engineer, Police, IAS or IPS. They realised that they can become creators by practising, making things with their own individual hands and giving them life to rise.
Relaxing someone’s mind with the soulful voice through humming and giving them a reason to smile again and being marked as a person whose whole point is to embrace everyone with his/her uniqueness – Singer.
Even moving your body and giving it a rhythm that makes something different, like – Dancer.
Appreciation through gifts:
Spent their whole time with 11 creators like a family gathered for a function. Students’ joy doubled when they received gifts as appreciation for their unique talents.
It’s really appreciable. Recognition always leaves a strong mark in students’ minds, making them move forward to achieve their dreams, and it’s so overwhelming to think of giving prizes/gifts as part of appreciation.
And it resembles that when people come and work together for good aspects of things to happen, it will definitely create a family environment.
Creativity, celebration and community gives meaningful experiences in an excellent way that supports students’ education and innovative ideas.
Consistent support from volunteers:
Finally, this event leaves a good impression of a meaningful experience with creators for our students, along with the support of volunteers, creators and the community over there.
Students themselves couldn’t create the decoration for the event. Volunteers stepped in to assist them in different domains:
Decorating the place with paper-made crafts and eco-friendly materials through consistent support from volunteers in making and creating crafts for the event to glow.
This event made our students gather to think beyond the classroom and made them understand that receiving ideas and corrections from someone will help them grasp things in different ways.
Creators and volunteers who make our students’ visions visible and make them understand that it needs continuous consistency, understanding the meaning of freedom.
They let them grasp the idea of creativity in their minds.
Events like this mark our students’ minds as an inspiration-filled gathering for instilling creators’ work to bridge a way for students to grow in an excellent future.
