Some collaborations come quietly but leave a mark that lasts. Our work with CS Disco was exactly like that- gentle in its approach, yet meaningful in the way it reached our space at Pehchaan The Street School.
CS Disco, a US-based legal-technology company, is known for AI solutions for law firms, corporations, and governments. But what mattered to us wasn’t the scale of their work, or the technology they build- it was the way they reached out. A little over two months ago, their CSR initiative, led by Khushi Verma, approached us. What began as a simple conversation soon became something warm, intentional, and full of care.
When the volunteers came, they didn’t feel like outsiders. They just… sat on the floor with everyone. Listened. Talked. Shared bits of their own lives- work, mistakes, little things that mattered to them. They weren’t there to teach from a distance, you know? They were just there, with the Children. And the Children… they noticed. You could tell. They paid attention in that way you only do when someone actually cares about what you’re saying.
What touched us most was CS Disco’s response afterward. Their feedback was honest and heartfelt. They spoke about how grounded the experience felt, how much they admired the learners’ curiosity and spirit, and how they hoped to stay connected with Pehchaan The Street School. It mattered deeply that they left not only with observations but with feeling- a sentiment we know is essential because Pehchaan The Street School is built on emotion, identity, and recognizing each child for who they are.
For us, this partnership was never just about giving out notebooks or teaching lessons. It was about being seen. About someone, all the way from across the world, choosing to believe in our childrens – and in what we do. It reminded them… the world is bigger than the walls around them. And that they belong in it, too.
At Pehchaan The Street School, where “identity” is not just a word but a slow and steady process of becoming, this collaboration added a new layer of strength. It showed our children that their stories matter. That their dreams matter. That they… matter. That feeling- of being seen, of being believed in- it sticks. Long after the day is done. Long after notebooks or kits are gone. It stays. Quiet. Lasting. Like the echo of a good conversation under an open sky.
