Happiness is a language of the heart. For a child, it can’t be measured in grand gestures or material wealth, but in the beautiful simplicity of love, a warm hug. A child’s heart doesn’t wish for much – just a little love, simple toys, and perhaps a sweet treat.
But in a world where even happiness is taxed with a price tag, many of these young innocent souls miss out on these simple pleasures of life. Dreams of the future, moments of joy, festivities – all get blurred into the harsh reality of struggling to survive in this unfair race of life, losing their sparkle on the way.
Pehchaan The Street School – More than an educational initiative -
At Pehchaan The Street School, we aim to bring this sparkle of happiness back into many children’s lives. This isn’t just an initiative – but a ‘lighthouse of hope’ for a better future – where every child is nourished with the fruit of education.
It’s a ‘dream’ that no child has to withstand these harsh realities. Finally, breaking free of these chains of generational hardship, to step into a world where they can truly live and not just survive.
It’s a ‘sanctuary’ where they can get together, leaving behind the world that turned its back on them – to learn and heal in Pehchaan The Street School’s world with love, respect and care.
Bringing light to many lives: Pehchaan Ki Diwali
India, the land of festivals, waits with bated breath for Diwali each year. This celebration of Diwali transcends cultures, and religions – uniting people in one symphony throughout the nation. It’s magic lying in the emotional tapestry of coming together and celebrating life with our loved ones.
But its true essence lies in lighting up the lives of others – sharing happiness, spreading warmth and making a lifetime of memories with everyone.
Believing in this same, Pehchaan The Street School, every year, with immense joy, brings this light of celebration to their student’s life, celebrating Diwali with them in all its grandeur.
This year too their mission is to create lasting memories for their students – through a small token of affection – a special Diwali kit, which includes a new school bag, stationery and some treats.
Meaning of this Diwali kit, through our student’s Eyes –
There’s nothing more special and precious than the smile of a child. While all these items in our Diwali kit might seem like mundane objects – but for these young hatchlings – it holds millions of their dreams.
– It’s not just a bag for them but the years’ worth of hopes carried in their hearts.
– With new pencils, they will write their own destinies, one stroke at a time.
– With new erasers, they will wipe away all the memories of hardships and struggles.
– With new notebooks, they will start a fresh new chapter in their life, filled with promises of a better future.
– With some sweet treats, they will taste all the care and love that many of us hold in our hearts for them.
All of this hope, joy and love – wrapped in a Diwali kit for just INR 300. A small price to bring smiles to these innocent lovely faces. With our target of providing 1,500 kits – through these kits, you will be sending warm hugs to our students, giving them memories not just for a day but for a lifetime.
